From the book, The Princess Bride:

And that’s when she put her book down. And looked at me. And said it: “Life isn’t fair, Bill. We tell our children that it is, but it’s a terrible thing to do. It’s not only a lie, it’s a cruel lie. Life is not fair, and it never has been, and it’s never going to be.”

The book and the movie teaches us a valuable lesson about life. It is a harsh lesson and one that we must teach our children and remember ourselves.

All the positive thinking in the world won’t change the fact that life isn’t fair.

Cheaters win.

The person who knows the right person gets the job, not always the one most qualified.

The ones with the best connections get signed to a music contract, not always the ones with the most unique new sound.

The ones who are related to movie…
